Sophie Dahl and Jamie Cullum's love scales new heights

Sophie Dahl's new romance with Jamie Cullum is going from strength-to-strength - despite the 6ft model towering over the 5ft 4in British jazz musician by eight inches.

The pair, who met at The Lavender Trust breast cancer charity event in March this year where they performed two songs together, have enjoyed a romantic week's break in the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills.

"They looked like an unusual pair at first," said one onlooker at Los Angeles Airport.

"Sophie towered over Jamie, even though she was only wearing flip-flops.

"But she was smiling and seemed very relaxed as he puffed down the stairs with his little suitcase. It was all very sweet."

Dahl obviously has a fondness for musicians - she counts Rolling Stone Mick Jagger as an ex.

Her last boyfriend was Dan Baker, son of a New York plastic surgeon, whom she dated for four years before their split last month.

Again, Dahl was the taller of the two.
