'Sorry I cheated on you...here are some balloons and flowers', Ashley's gift to wife Cheryl Cole

Cheryl and her Girls Aloud bandmates posed before going onstage at the girl's gig at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena with the massive bouquet of flowers, cluster of helium filled balloons and bottle of Bollinger champagne Ashley sent her.

But it didn't exactly go to plan. As Cheryl revealed the England defender then sent a text BEFORE the gifts had arrived.

In an interview with Hello! magazine, the Girls Aloud singer laughed as she told how her hapless husband sent her a text asking 'Having the flowers arrived?' blowing the surprise because they hadn't yet
 
She said: 'He didn't really think that through, did he? Still, they are really beautiful.'
 
Hello! Magazine also revealed how the Chelsea star travelled to the show with Cheryl's mother Joan and embraced his wife in a corridor.
 
It is the first positive proof that the couple are very much back together following his alleged discretion with hairdresser Aimee Walton.

The interview reveals that Cheryl and Ashley are together and still very much in love, as the couple are seen 'standing in a quiet corner of the corridor outside the dressing room, with their arms draped around each other's necks...'

However according to sources close to the singer, Cheryl is planning for a future without Ashley.

Despite vowing to stand by her man, Cheryl has reportedly had a change of heart after bandmate Nicola split up with her long-term boyfriend Carl Davis.

A source told Closer: 'When Nicola dumped  Carl, it pushed her even further to make choices. Cheryl and Nicola want to move in together eventually, but Cheryl's heart lies in the States.

'She is planning to go back for a break. Then Nicola and her might look for a place.

'That's the plan for now, but Ashley doesn't fit into any of it.'

Meanwhile the girls also address the speculation about their collective shrinking frames.

Sarah Harding says: 'When were touring, we burn off so much energy, you do lose weight.

I actually wouldn't mind putting some back on. I want my boobs back! I work out because I like to be toned, but believe me, I eat!'

And Nicola Roberts who recently split from businessman Carl Davies said it will give her her first chance to enjoy a girls only holiday.
 
She said: 'This tour has been a massive contrast for me. On stage professionally it been amazing. But at the same time, my personal life has been a total wreck.
 
'My dog Elvis died just before we came away and now I've split up with my boyfriend. It's been a really hard time, but the girls have been great and supported me when I've been down.'
 
The Girls also deny recent press reports they are going their separate ways.
 
Nadine says: 'I don't think we'll ever split up.'
