Sorry Manchester, Britney Spears just has to shop in London

Britney Spears - who insulted Manchester by shouting to her audience: "What's up, London?! - has heaped further insults on the city.

Wrong city: Does Britney even know where she is performing?

She spurned the chance to stay the night after her two-hour set, preferring to travel 200 miles to her hotel in Knightsbridge.

And although she was clearly in the mood for a shopping spree, the stores of Manchester failed to tempt her, and she waited until she was back in Chelsea to start spending.

Britney played her one date in Manchester on Wednesday. But she didn't stick around and yesterday drew a crowd as she shopped in London, first dashing to Boots for spot cream and dummies for her sons. After lunch at the Shanghai Knightsbridge restaurant she visited Gap, Chloe on Sloane Street and Jack Wills University Outfitters on the King's Road, where she changed into a newly-purchased white dress before heading back to her hotel.

Britting the shops: Britney, left, pulled large crowds as she browsed for clothes at Gap in London

Britney flies to Dublin today for two more dates before taking a two-week break.
