The door has been left open for Tony Soprano to make a comeback after the final episode of the critically acclaimed series ended on a cliffhanger.
More than 13 million people tuned in to discover whether the Mafia boss, played by James Gandolfini, would be "whacked" as the series finished its eight-year run.

The ending, after 86 episodes, was one of the most eagerly anticipated shows in recent years and across New Jersey fans held "Soprano" parties.
