The strain of being a jet-setting popstar was apparent as Kate boarded the Australia-bound aeroplane to perform in the latest country to fall for the charms of the 20-year-old singer.

Sunglasses can't hide Kate's bedraggled appearance
Looking spotty and attempting to hide behind sunglasses, Kate was bemused when seen by photographers at Heathrow airport.
One onlooker said: "She appeared tired and not exactly pleased with the attention, but she was having fun with her crew who she seems to get on well with."
With a small entourage and a larger number of bags, London-based Kate flew to Perth in Western Australia to perform at the city's annual Big Day Out concert, sharing the stage with Bjork, Rage Against The Machine and antipodean favourites Silverchair.

Kate waits patiently for her Australia-bound flight
The concert, which took place today, is one of two sell-out gigs scheduled in Australia for Kate, whose album Made Of Bricks is enjoying success in the country's charts.
2008 is set to be a stellar year for the rising star, after she was nominated for two NME awards including one nomination for the Best Dressed category.

A forced grin from a tired-looking Kate
The singer, from Harrow, North West London, is also nominated for three Brit Awards - for Best British Female Solo Artist, Best British Breakthrough Act and Best British Single for Foundations.
