Friends have revealed that Kelly was able to take her father away for a dream holiday to Las Vegas before he passed away

The 57-year-old had lost a long battle with lung-cancer after he was diagnosed in June.

Hiding behind dark sunglasses as she was driven away she looked a shell of the dazzling star who has hooked viewers on the BBC contest with dance partner Brendan Cole.

However, she could take comfort in the fact that she was able to accompany her father on a final holiday trip to Las Vegas shortly before his death.

A family friend told the News of the World: "Kelly felt she needed to be strong for the family, especially her mum Sandra. They're a very close family.
