Stuart Manning in tears after chat with George Hamilton

Veteran Hollywood star George Hamilton inadvertently left former Hollyoaks actor Stuart Manning in tears after the pair had a heart-to-heart chat in I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!

Emotional: Stuart Manning was left in teats after bonding with George Hamilton

Hamilton advised Manning that he should open up a bit more if he wants to win the show - but his words left Manning upset.

Hamilton told the actor: "I think you have the best shot of winning the whole match as an all-round hand. I think it's more important for you to win this show for your career and for your life than the others.

"I'd like to see you stay the course and have fun with it. One of the things you need to think about, and if it's out of line you just tell me, but you need to open up a bit more about who you are because you are coming across great but good guys don't always win in this life, that's for sure.

"You are very modest and you don't toot your own horn but your challenge is to make the people like you for things they don't know about you yet, that'll add to the whole thing - have a think about it."

Choked with emotion, Manning took himself off to a quiet part of the camp and cried.

He was followed by former Mis-Teeq singer Sabrina Washington, who went to find out what was wrong.

The actor said: "I'm missing my dad and something George said to me hit home. George is a poignant man and it caught me for five minutes, completely got me.

"He said be yourself and open up a bit more and I find it so hard sometimes.

"To open up about my family and private life, I get like this.

"I find it difficult and I get upset, and when he said that I thought about my family and I lost it a bit and didn't want to cry in front of everyone else."

Washington comforted Manning saying: "He didn't pass that long ago and you miss him a lot.

Wherever he is, he's proud of you, he's looking down and he's with you. When something like that happens, it rocks your world."

Thanking her for talking to him, Manning kissed Washington on the cheek.

Camp mates also teased Manning for flirting with Washington after Manning decorated her bed with a canopy.

"I'm surprised he hasn't pulled two beds together," quipped cheeky chef Gino D'Acampo.

D'Acampo also asked Washington: "Would you like to see him naked going around the fire?" to which she replied: "No".

The celebrities decided that Manning and D'Acampo should do the Bushtucker Trial, called Slip N Slide, which involved collecting stars while being in slime-filled perspex tubes.
They triumphantly returned with all 10 stars.
