Suggs tops Regent Street Festival bill

Thousands of revellers basked in autumn sunshine for the 10th annual Regent Street Festival.

The road was closed yesterday for the shopping street's celebrations, the highlight of which was a concert by singer Suggs and Madness.

"We used to come down here as kids and borrow stuff," Suggs joked as he and Madness put together a set jam-packed with classics from their 30-year-career.

Beautiful day: The Regent Street Festival in full swing
The performance was played live on Absolute Radio, in conjunction with the station's first birthday.

Suggs wowed the crowds as thousands flocked to see the spectacle, dancing the night away on Regent St.

There was also a funfair, stilt walkers, fashion shows and street entertainers as Londoners enjoyed the day out.
