Susan Boyle wows her US fans with live performance

Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle lapped up the adulation of her fans across the pond as she promoted her debut album.

The Scottish singer was in New York to showcase her debut album and wowed spectators at Rockefeller Plaza with a pitch-perfect rendition of I Dreamed A Dream - the song that propelled her to stardom.

Boyle was greeted by hundreds of screaming American fans and looked comfortable with the attention, shouting: "Hello people" as she made her way to the stage.

New York, New York: Susan Boyle delights the US crowd

Her confident display was in stark contrast to some of her appearances in the UK, where pressure from starring in the live BGT final saw her admitted to the Priory clinic after suffering an emotional breakdown.

Meanwhile her album - also called I Dreamed A Dream - is looking well set to top the charts and could become the fastest-selling release of the year.
