Svelte new mother Nicole Kidman steps out looking even skinnier

Just ten days after the birth of Sunday Rose the Australian actress was pictured showing just the smallest trace of her bump.

But as Nicole arrived for her yoga class on Monday in a clinging top she looked back to her pre-pregnancy self. However unlike many expectant mothers the 41-year-old had the benefit of a personal trainer throughout her pregnancy.

Determined to avoid gaining a huge amount of weight Nicole continued doing rigorous exercise. As a result she remained slim throughout the nine months of her pregnancy.

Nicole regularly endured hour long weight-training sessions, yoga sessions, power walking, and took aerobic cycling classes in a bid to stay in shape. She was even reported to be in the gym the day before she gave birth.

Three months into her pregnancy Nicole Kidman proudly displayed her bump to her sister Antonia and friends.

Last month Nicole told US Vogue: 'To feel life growing within you is something very, very special. The whole experience is so primal. I like the unpredictable nature of it.'

She and husband Keith Urban named their daughter after Australian artist Sidney Nolan's muse Sunday Reed. 

Rose was the name of Urban's late grandmother.

In a message to fans on his website country music star Urban wrote: 'Like any of you who are parents yourselves, we're experiencing the pure bliss of welcoming her into our lives.

'We're all doing superbly well and we continue to be absolutely overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and well wishes we are receiving'.

Urban also thanked fans for 'your beautiful notes and prayers'.

Nicole already has two adopted children Isabella, 15, and Connor, 13, from her marriage to Tom Cruise.
