Take That set to Shine in latest ad campaign for Marks and Spencer

Following in the footsteps of Myleene Klass and Twiggy, the latest stars to become the face of Marks & Spencer are Take That.

Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Jason Orange and Howard Donald will be promoting the high street giant's menswear collection in a multi-million pound advertising campaign to be launched early next month.

The chart-topping group said "It's brilliant to be working with such a strong British brand as M&S and to be the faces for the new Autumn Autograph campaign."

The Mirror newspaper said the band has been caught being secretly photographed by award-winning fashion photographer John Rankin.

Could it be magic? Take That are the new faces of Marks and Spencer Autograph range for men

Boss Sir Stuart Rose is hoping the fab four, who made a dramatic musical comeback last year, will raise the profile of the menswear range as Twiggy, Myleene and Erin O'Connor have done for the women's collection.

One expert told The Mirror: "It's a very clever campaign. An army of female fans has grown up with the band and will want to buy the same clothes for their partners that their idols are promoting."

Marketing executive director Steve Sharp, who has been credited with turning around Marks and Spencer's profits, said: "Take That have had a phenomenal 12 months and it's great to see them doing so well - long may it continue."
