Sources in Spears' inner circle have insisted the weight fluctuation is a result of prescribed medication - shooting down pregnancy talk.

Pregnant or not the 26-year-old has been back in training in preparation for a comeback, spending plenty of time on the treadmill.

And, it seems, focusing on a new romance.

Earlier this week she was spotted with Jason, who works for her talent agency William Morris, at a party for Ed Hardy designer Christian Audigier.

He also joined the star on her recent holiday at actor Mel Gibson’s £12million ranch in Costa Rica, hinting their relationship is now both personal and professional.

Jason has been instrumental in guiding Britney on the road to recovery, according to reports.

A source has said: 'Jason was deeply saddened when she lost it and he made it his personal mission to see she comes back.

'It was Jason who was one of the key figures who helped Britney to reunite with her parents and, in turn, get herself back on track.’

A judge recently granted her the right to spend three days a week with sons Sean Preston, two, and 20-month-old Jayden James.
