Princess Eugenie, 17, appears to have inherited her mother's love of a good party

When the girls visited London's trendy Cuckoo Club, Eugenie, left, who had just celebrated her birthday, was knocking back flutes of champagne like a true pro, even though she is not legally allowed to drink.

"Eugenie was continuing her birthday celebrations with Beatrice and Dave at Cuckoo and they were really having a good night," says a friend.

"Eugenie was drinking alcohol and seemed really rather tipsy at one point in the evening.

"Beatrice had to cover for her when they left the club and tried to walk in front of her in a big coat so she wasn't seen.

"Eugenie just tried to hide her face behind her hand. She knew her eyes would be a giveaway that she was more than a little merry."

Let's hope Eugenie keeps focusing on her studies, for the time being at least.
