The Jackson three: Do they share a plastic surgeon?

For as LaToya Jackson celebrated her sister Janet's 41st birthday at the weekend, the family resemblance between the sisters - and their brother Michael - was striking.

But these days, the siblings' identical looks appear to owe almost as much to the knife as to genetics.

An onlooker at the Aura club, in the Bahamas, said: "There was absolutely no mistaking the two Jackson sisters.

"Not only were the two women of identical build, they were both wearing strappy dresses and had the same length hair.

"But the most striking similarity was their resemblance to Michael. Everything from the nose to the drawn- on, high arched eyebrows was the same.

"People were joking that the three of them must have the same plastic surgeon on their mobile phones' speed dial."

However, the family members have not always been as close as their looks might suggest.

Janet has stuck by 48-year-old Michael. But LaToya, 51, has criticised his obsession with plastic surgery.

She has blamed it on the violence and cruelty their father Joe showed towards his children.

Michael had the operations to remove all resemblance to his parent, she said.

And although the singer has admitted to between two and four nose jobs, LaToya suggested the actual figure was closer to seven. In recent years, it seems she has changed her opinion of plastic surgery. Her skin has become increasingly taut, her eyebrows more pointed and her forehead noticeably smoother.

Meanwhile, Janet, who has had a well-documented battle with her weight, is also said to have had some work carried out.

The rocky relationship between LaToya and Michael took another turn in 1993.

During a news conference in Tel Aviv, LaToya publicly spoke out against Michael, accusing the Thriller singer of child molestation.

She made the allegations as she said she could no longer remain a "silent collaborator" in her brother's 'crimes against small, innocent children'.

He was further accused of child molestation in December

A trial followed in California which culminated in him being acquitted of all ten counts. Nevertheless his career went into freefall.
