The Little and Large show: Sophie Dahl and Stephen Merchant tower over pint-sized dates

Sophie Dahl's relationship with jazz singer Jamie Cullum continues to reach new heights.

The six-foot model slipped on a pair of killer heels to walk the red carpet at last night's GQ Men of the Year Awards, despite already casting a shadow over her 5ft 4in boyfriend.

The diminutive crooner did his best to close the gap with a shiny pair of man heels, unfortunately to little effect.

He's had more luck winning over Sophie's family, after recently meeting Sophie's actor dad Julian Holloway at the family home in Bath.

Jamie said: "We all got on very well. I think he liked me."

Later that night, Stephen Merchant did his own impersonation of Little and Large, with the help of his long-term girlfriend Claire Jones.

The 6ft 7in star, who collaborated with Ricky Gervais on the BBC comedy series The Office and Extras, was awarded Comedian of the Year by celebrity couple Vernon Kaye and Tess Daley.
