The plump reality for Ex-EastEnders Natalie... as her fitness DVD continues to top the charts

Her transformation from frumpy to fabulous ensured Natalie Cassidy's fitness DVD has become one of the fastest-selling workout videos of all time.

Less than two months on, however, and the 24-year-old actress appears in need of a gentle exercise reminder.

While the cover of her Then & Now DVD shows the ex-EastEnders star looking svelte and toned, in real life she looks rather more rotund.

From fit to fat: Natalie bears little resemblance to the trim figure on the cover of her fitness DVD

Despite losing two and a half stone during the recording of her energetic programme, in which she is seen performing a series of strenuous boxing moves and stomach crunches, Miss Cassidy now appears to have a fuller figure.

Wearing a duffel coat over a tartan mini-skirt and green cardigan, and accompanied by her personal trainer, Dee Thrasher, the London-born star is evidently keen to make amends.

"Natalie was wrapped up against the cold but there was no disguising the fact she seems a little chunkier," said an onlooker.

Natalie unveiled her slimline new look in August last year, and on the right, how she used to look

"Whereas promotional shots of her workout DVD show her looking super lean with an almost concave stomach, she appears to have put back on a little extra padding around her midriff.

"Given that we've only just had Christmas, with all the over-indulgence that this entails, it's no wonder she may have put on a small amount of weight, though.

"But Natalie still looks great and is definitely far slimmer than she was in her EastEnders days."

Miss Cassidy, who played dowdy Sonia Jackson in the flagship BBC1 soap, became an unlikely fitness inspiration earlier this year when her DVD sailed to the top of the official workout video charts - beating off competition from Davina McCall, Rosemary Conley and Strictly Come Dancing stars, Karen Hardy and Erin Boag.

Indeed, so popular has it proven, stores nationwide have been forced to restock their supplies several times.
