The woman in black: Is Jamie Hince killing Kate Moss' fashion sense?

Kate Moss' rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince is clearly in need of a few sartorial tips judging by the state of his wardrobe.

But it appears that he may be doing the unthinkable, influencing the fashion world's premier style icon, and killing her style credentials.

Since the two began their relationship last September, months after her split from Babyshamble's frontman Pete Doherty, Kate's fashion outlook has descended into a constant carousel of black.

The vintage style she has been much admired for has been replaced by a dull uniform of black jeans, dresses, boots and jackets.

In fact, not too unlike her musician boyfriend Jamie, a guitarist with trendy rock duo The Kills.

Kate's once chic boho style has been lost in a sea of black clothing, with on occasion a lone red accessory providing some colour.

And Moss' waning on the style barometer has not gone unnoticed, as in what should be a clear warning to world's most famous model, Agyness Deyn, who replaced her in the latest Burberry advertising campaign has knocked her off the top of an influential best-dressed list.

The 34-year-old Croydon-born supermodel has taken the best-dressed crown for the last two years in Tatler magazine's annual list because of her widespread influence on the contents of women's wardrobes.

Although she still receives praise and a number two placing, it is Moss's 25-year-old rival Deyn, whose sartorial choices enlist most respect.

Former chip girl Deyn, winner of Model of the Year, recently replaced Moss in the latest Burberry campaign.

Although the fashion label says Moss is "still part of the Burberry family".

But Tatler eulogises Deyn saying: "Whether she's sipping chai at the Russian Tea Rooms in Primrose Hill or kicking back at Henry Holland's studio, She's fash-fabulous... Rockin."

However the posh magazine still credits Moss with influencing women, giving her second place in the top 10, and wrote: "If she wears it, the rest of the world follows suit.

"She has proven her designer credentials with her sell-out Topshop clothing range."
