The ex-spouses, played by Sid Owen and Patsy Palmer, bond after arguing with a teacher over their 10-year-old son Liam.
Last week, viewers saw Ricky attempted to kiss Bianca, but he was rebuffed by the feisty redhead, who declared she was still in love with her jailbird boyfriend Tony King - father of her youngest child Morgan.
Moving in for the kill: Ricky (Sid Owen) makes his move on an upset Bianca (Patsy Palmer)
Despite her initial rejection, Bianca soon begins to change her mind about her ex-husband.
A show source tells the Daily Star: "Bianca starts to think that maybe they are a match made in heaven."
Ricky and Bianca returned to Albert Square earlier this year for the funeral of Walford stalwart Frank Butcher.
Bianca was armed with a group of children, fathered by different men, including stepdaughter Whitney, Liam, Tiffany and Morgan and soon moved into Pat Butcher's house after falling on hard times.
Desperate to play a bigger part in son Liam's life, Ricky has been hanging around the family over the last few weeks, much to the chagrin of Bianca.
The couple famously fell for each other when Bianca was in her teens, but their romance came to an abrupt halt when he had an illicit affair with her best friend Natalie Price (Lucy Speed).
The couple didn't stay apart for long and by 1996, the on-screen couple were married, and joined by son Liam two years later.
After an affair with her mum Carol's (Lindsey Coulson) boyfriend Dan (Craig Fairbrass), Bianca told Ricky she didn't love him and left Walford in 1999.
