Timmy Mallett accused of Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny porkie

Timmy Mallett did not actually sing on his No 1 hit Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny Yellow Polka Dot Bikini as he could not hit the high notes, it was claimed today.

Flat: Timmy "didn't sing hit"

The TV presenter, 53, now irritating rivals in I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! was allegedly replaced by R&B singer Everton Barnes on the 1990 single released under the name Bombalurina.

Barnes said: "The producers decided Timmy was perfect to do the vocals as he was all the rage. But when they got him into the studio, his voice was as flat as a pancake. I sang the whole vocal track and Timmy's was shunted into the background."

Mr Barnes, now a deputy headteacher in Luton, reportedly said: "I didn't want anybody knowing as I still had ambitions in the music business."
Mr Barnes, 45, spoke out after Mallett sang the song in the jungle camp, He said: "Timmy is going around singing it when he knows it is not his voice on it."
