Tragic Anna Nicole's will worth just £358,000

Four months after she died from an accidental overdose, the will of Anna Nicole Smith revealed she was worth just £358,000.

The Playboy model, 39, had £5,000 in personal property and an LA home worth £909,000 but still had a mortgage of £556,000 outstanding.

However, now baby Dannielyn stands to inherit the £227million fortune of Smith's late husband, billionaire J Howard Marshall.

Anna Nicole's six-year-old will was filed by her lawyer and companion Howard K. Stern.

The out-of-date document left the value of her estate to dead son Daniel and named Stern as his guardian in the event of her death. Daniel was still a dependant at the time the will was written.

Daniel was 20 when he died in September in the Bahamas from a lethal combination of drugs, days after the former reality TV star and Playboy Playmate gave birth to daughter Dannielynn.

Dannielynn was subject to a paternity battle before tests confirmed the father was photographer Larry Birkhead.

Stern filed papers naming baby Dannielynn as Anna Nicole's sole benficiary, and Birkhead has applied to the court to recognise him as the child's legal guardian, clearing the way for her to inherit the £227million estate of Smith's late billionaire husband.

Newly released handwritten pages from Anna Nicole's diary will be posted online at urauctions.com.

Smith's tone in the entries veers between simple joy and deep-seated unhappiness. One entry documents her fraught relationship with mother Virgie Arthur.

She wrote: 'I'm a very sad person, my mom hates me so much. She is so jelous of me. She always talks about me bad to people I no and they tell me. I love my mum but I can't handle it anymore [sic].'

And in another of the excerpts dated May 31 1992 released to The Associated Press she wrote: "I hate men!! They suck. There scum. There not worthy [sic].'

She posts intimate details of an active sex life in often-graphic language. She rails against her boyfriend and, in the same scrawled entry, celebrates her upcoming breast surgery.

"I'm so excited I could scream. Ahhhhh I just feel so happy," Smith writes, although she later expresses worry about the imminent operation and how she'll look.

One of the more poignant passages deals with her shock at finding she's pregnant.

"I'm so scared! How can this happen to me," she writes, adding that her boyfriend "will hate me. he don't want kid. Can't do it!"

The diaries were purchased from a memorabilia shop by a group of investors, who sold two of them to a German businessman for more than $500,000.

The former reality TV star's estranged mother, Virgie Arthur, is currently fighting Birkhead for at least partial custody or visitation rights with Dannielynn.

The opposing parties are due back in court in the Bahamas June 8 for a final custody hearing.
