Tyra Banks gets stalker order

Tyra Banks has been granted a temporary restraining order against an alleged stalker.

The 36-year-old model-and-television presenter is terrified of 39-year-old Marten Williams Jr. and told police he has terrorised her family for four years.

In documents - filed by her lawyer Evan Spiegel in Los Angeles County Superior Court - Tyra stated: "I am in fear from Mr. Williams for my personal safety, and that of those around me, including my family and employees."

Tyra claims Williams believes "he killed George Bush Jr. and that Michael Jackson is alive and living in Long Beach".

She also alleges he went to her Beverly Hills home to leave several "ominous frightening letters and items" including prescription medication, Los Angeles County Jail wristbands and a note referencing a wedding ceremony where he believes he will marry Tyra.

Mr. Williams was arrested earlier this month for trespassing on the star's property. He was placed under psychiatric hold but released.

The temporary restraining order - which states Williams must stay at least 100 yards away from Tyra and her family at all times - will last until October 28, when a hearing will be held to determine if it will become permanent.
