Uh-oh eh-oh: Victoria Beckham unveils her new 'Teletubbies'-inspired look

For a woman who has an endless carousel of clothes, Victoria Beckham's choice of attire was peculiar, to say the least.

Indeed, many observers were left wondering if Posh was inspired by a well-loved children's television character - Tinky Winky of the Teletubbies - when posing for a recent Marc Jacobs photo shoot.

In a quirky new advert, Victoria donned a windmill-style antenna on her head - just like those worn by TV favourites Tinky Winky, Dipsy, La Laaa and Po.

She has taken part in this witty ad campaign for the fashionista's favourite fashion label Marc Jacobs, which counts Sophia Coppola and Scarlett Johansson among its famous fans.

The Spring ad campaign shot by Juergen Teller for Marc Jacobs shows a madcap Posh in another shot where she is seen with her head and hands sticking out of a giant shopping bag - and another where she is completely inside it with just her legs poking out.

Posh is also seen wearing the pink tabard-style tunic dress she wore on the Victoria's Secret pink carpet at the Spice Girls' first comeback performance.

However, despite a US fashion critic naming Posh the worst-dressed star of last year, it appears that not everybody shares that view, as the self-styled fashionista is set to appear on the cover of British Vogue.

Victoria, 33 - who is pals with designer Roberto Cavalli - will also be featured on half a dozen spreads inside the British edition of the style bible in April.

It will be the first time the mother-of-three has been a Vogue cover girl and the honour is sure to seal her status as a style queen.

"Victoria's doing the fashion shoot this week with top photographer Nick Knight, who's shot stars like David Bowie, Kylie Minogue and Kate Moss," according to a source.

"The magazine is planning to dedicate 12 pages to her. It's rare for Vogue to use someone other than a model for the cover, so it's a real coup for Victoria."

The shoot is reported to be Victoria's most risqué yet.
