Vanessa Feltz reveals wedding plans

Happy: Vanessa Feltz and her toyboy Ben Ofoedu will wed in London

Radio presenter Vanessa Feltz is to marry her music man Ben Ofoedu later this year.

The 45- year-old has confessed that she will tie the knot with the former Phats & Small singer this winter in a civil wedding in London.

Vanessa, who has been dating toyboy Ben for less than a year, will shun a Jewish wedding.

She revealed: "We're going to have a civil wedding because Ben is Nigerian so I don't feel I can have a Jewish wedding.

"We would have got married before now but we haven't had time.

"We are both very busy so it has been a case of fitting it in. It's time-consuming to organise a wedding."

Vanessa, who has two daughters - Allegra, 21, and Saskia, 18, from her marriage to surgeon Michael Kurer - admits that she was tempted to go abroad for her nuptials but instead decided to stay closer to home.

"The sun was tempting, but we decided against it. It's exciting and I am very much looking forward to it, Ben is lovely - I've done well, haven't I?"

Er, yep.

Vanessa's love life has been well-documented during a long career which has seen her presenting on television as well as radio, and writing as a newspaper columnist.

She split with Kurer in 1999 after 15 years of marriage, but it didn't take her long to heal her broken heart when she fell from the treadmill into the arms of her personal trainer Dennis Duhaney shortly after.

Their relationship lasted nearly six years.

She and 34-year-old Ben met last summer through friends while out on the London party circuit.

They have since barely been seen apart - until they took part in Channel 4's Celebrity Wife Swap along with Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee, an experience that made Vanessa realise how much she enjoyed being with Ben.

"Paul and I had nothing to talk about, it was horrendous," she said.

"I was so happy when I got back home to Ben and my daughters."
