With all that lolly, couldn't Lampard afford his own private beach?

You'd think with a £120,000 a week salary, footballer Frank Lampard would be able to holiday on his own private beach.

Despite his millions in the bank, the Chelsea midfielder opted to enjoy a family holiday on one of Ibiza's most crowded beaches.

The soccer ace, who turns 30 on Friday, shunned exclusive, private resorts for a busy, public beach on the Balearic island for a vacation with fiancée Elen Rives and their two daughters.

With England failing to qualify for the Euro 2008 championships, Lampard has been free to vacation with Rives, their daughters Luna, two; and Isla, 13 months; and Rives' Spanish mother.

After a recent vacation in Dubai, Lampard is now in his 30-year-old fiancée's native Spain as he considers his career options.

With his Chelsea contract due to expire next year, Lampard has reportedly being approached by his former manager Jose Mourinho to transfer to his new club Inter Milan.

Lampard, who is expected to make his decision this week, is said to be torn between the two clubs because of his emotional attachment to Chelsea.

The footballer was grateful for Chelsea management's support following the death of his mother Pat in April.

Lampard happily played with his daughters on the busy beach, which was covered with tanning holidaymakers from all over Europe.

In a bid to cool down from the humid temperatures on the white island, Lampard and his eldest daughter Isla sucked on ice lollies.

Lampard and Rives have been engaged for since 2005, but have yet to set a wedding date.
