You're looking Jolie thin, Angelina

They say the camera adds ten pounds.

Let's hope this proves to be true in the case of Angelina Jolie, who seems to be shrinking by the week, when her next film hits the big screen.

The Oscar-winning actress, 32, is looking more gaunt and sinewy than ever while filming scenes in Chicago for her latest movie Wanted.

Jolie puts her dramatic weight loss down this year to losing her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, to ovarian cancer in January; possessing a naturally thin frame and a globe-trotting schedule.

She is also the mother to four children under the age of seven - Maddox, 6, Pax, 3, Zahara, 2, and one-year-old Shiloh.

"I've always been lean and this year I lost my mom and I've gone through a lot," said 5-foot-8 Jolie.

"I have four kids and I finished breastfeeding - it's been hard to get my nutrition back on track."

While Hollywood is constantly under fire for encouraging the 'size zero' culture, Jolie proves less than happy about being seen as a role model for dieters everywhere.

"Instead of people saying I look like a person dealing with something emotionally, they assume it's because I want to fit into skinny jeans.

"Someone saying to me that I'm thin is not a compliment," she added.

Jolie's brother James Haven recently expressed his concern over his famous sister's shrinking frame

"You know she doesn't pay much attention to food anyway and she's been going through a process of grief like me," Haven explained.

"She has not wanted to eat, nor has she been able to."

Part of the reason for Jolie's loss of appetite may stem from the fact that she associates cooking with her mother's memory.

"There was very much that home feeling when we came back from school," Haven recalled.

"Angie and I would walk in and comment on how we could smell things cooking and baking in the kitchen.

"Or she'd (Betrand) be in the middle of cooking and pick up a carrot and teach us about the vegetable or the fruit so that it was visual as well.

"Angie is now the same with her kids," Haven continued.

Jolie plans to take a year off after filming is completed on action movie Wanted, which also stars James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman.
