A night in the life of a semi-final

Haven't we seen you before? Two goals at Old Trafford, one more here in the San Siro. Kaka took his tally to an impressive 10 in 12 for the competition. Now that's world class. And what about his pace? The push and run was a dying art. It's back in fashion now.
THE ENGINE DRIVER - SEEDORF
The Dutch aren't just about total football. From the hard-working Dirk Kuyt at Anfield to the energy of Clarence Seedorf, there is another side to the orange order. Little Seedorf, once seen as the poor man's Edgar Davids, is still a grand master. Great finish, too.
THE BACKPASS - HEINZE
Didn't he learn last time? After the collision with Evra at Old Trafford, Heinze gifted Milan another goal. This time a sloppy, loose pass to Vidic — who clearly didn't want the ball under pressure — put his mate in trouble. And Seedorf did the rest.

THE TEAM SHEET - SIR ALEX FERGUSON
So Vidic was fit, was he? The experienced Manchester United manager looked at his two returning central defenders and decided not to risk Rio Ferdinand.
But Vidic looked uncomfortable against Kaka's explosive pace and, in the rain, looked like Bambi on ice.
THE BIG STARS...ER
Where were they? Not Rooney, Ronaldo, Carrick or Giggs? The stars were all in black and red as Milan swept forward. Sadly, United couldn't keep the ball or create openings. Any chance of a shot at the clumsy Dida? A sorry mess. Goodbye Treble.
