Italy's Lazio were fined for the racist behaviour of fans at a Champions League Group C tie against Werder Bremen in Germany on October 24, UEFA said on their Web site (www.uefa.com). Lazio lost the match 2-1.

Belgian side Anderlecht were punished after their fans threw missiles during a UEFA Cup group G game in Brussels against England's Tottenham Hotspur on December 6.

Crowd trouble: Didier Zokora lies on the ground after he is hit by a lighter

Tottenham players said at the time that a number of objects were thrown onto the pitch during the 1-1 draw in Belgium, with Spurs defender Didier Zokora requiring treatment after being struck by a lighter thrown from the crowd.

Goalkeeper Paul Robinson handed a metal bar he found lying on the pitch to the fourth official after the match.

Anderlecht were fined by UEFA earlier in the season for crowd disturbances during a Champions League qualifier against Turkey's Fenerbahce.

Both clubs were allowed three days to appeal against the punishment.
