Anelka tells fans: Don't taunt Grant

Nicolas Anelka today urged the Chelsea boo-boys to forget Jose Mourinho and get behind manager Avram Grant because he believes the Israeli will win a trophy this season.

Chelsea fans turned on Grant against Arsenal on Sunday when they chanted 'you don't know what you're doing' and sang Mourinho's name with Arsene Wenger's side leading 1-0. Grant had substituted Claude Makelele and Michael Ballack for Juliano Belletti and Anelka, but the change worked and Chelsea won 2-1.

Anelka said: "All the people that are criticising him are comparing him to Mourinho because he was very different to Grant.

"If by the end of the season we were able to do something good, people will quickly forget Mourinho because we've won trophies."
