Angry Hull boss Brown hits out at Guthrie after his horror tackle breaks Fagan's leg

Hull City boss Phil Brown has angrily blasted Newcastle's Danny Guthrie after it emerged that his horror tackle at St James' Park left Craig Fagan with a broken leg.
Guthrie was red carded after running several yards to scythe Fagan down in stoppage time during Hull's 2-1 win.
Fagan left the ground on crutches and was diagnosed with a broken right tibia today following X-rays by the club's medical staff.

The winger is facing up to three months on the sidelines and a long battle to regain his fitness.
The incident has left Brown fuming and he said: 'It cannot be tolerated, it needs to be kicked out of the game.
'When you see that the end product is him putting a fellow pro in a cast, it's just not right.

'That's the horrible side of the game. I don't care what is going on at Newcastle, you cannot tolerate this.
'It took the shine off it in my mind. If I go back to the incident, my players were killing time in the corner, something that every Premier League club do no matter who you are.
'In the process of doing that, someone has decided to take the matter into his own hands and lashed out at Craig Fagan.'

Amazingly Fagan got straight up after the tackle to remonstrate with Fagan, who could now be facing a lengthy ban.
Brown, meanwhile, has pleaded not guilty to an FA misconduct charge after it was alleged he kicked a water bottle at the fourth official during his side's recent home defeat to Wigan.
