Arsenal ace Fabregas admits to holding Real Madrid talks

Cesc Fabregas admits to holding to talks with Real Madrid but says he is happy at Arsenal and has not agreed to join the Spanish giants.

Real have been chasing the player for some time and made him an offer to sign in the summer. The midfielder rejected the chance of a move but reports in Spain have suggested that Fabregas has told Real officials he will sign for them next season, something which has been denied.

Fabregas insists he is happy at the Emirates Stadium and is glad he turned down Real in the summer.

"The president Ramon Calderon and sport director Predrag Mijatovic have spoken to me, but finally I decided to follow on with my commitment to Arsenal," Fabregas told Radio Marca.

"It is not true that I have given them my word [to join] for next season. The meeting was pleasant and I believe that they are good and very sincere people.

"I am very happy at Arsenal and I go 100 per cent with the decision I took, although I praise the interest of Real in me."
