Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger threatens to call in FIFA over Inter Milan's interest in Hleb

Arsene Wenger is considering reporting Inter Milan to FIFA over their interest in Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb.

The Arsenal boss is furious that Inter coach Roberto Mancini came out this week and admitted the Italian giants are interested in signing Hleb this summer, even though he is still under contract to Arsenal until 2010.

Target: Hleb has been on Inter's wanted list for most of the season

This is not the first time Inter have tried to unsettle the Belarus midfielder after he was reported to have left the Arsenal team hotel before their big Champions League game against AC Milan back in March.

It was suggested that Hleb met up with his agent Claudio Vigorelli, to hold secret talks with Inter officials over a possible move – a story that was later denied by his agents who said he was just meeting up for an ice-cream.

Wenger is not prepared to put up with Mancini's latest comments and has threatened to take serious action over the matter.

Wenger said: "If Inter are interested in Alexander Hleb, they should call us. We have heard nothing. I don't know why we always have to respond to these situations.

"Apart from Mathieu Flamini, all our players are under contract. They can call us or we shall report them to FIFA.

"You never hear me talking about players who are under contract somewhere else. If I want to buy someone, I call the chairman and I ask him if he is for sale.

"I find all the talk about the players completely disrespectful. When it comes directly from the club, enough is enough, we shall report them directly to FIFA from now on."
