Arsenal boss Wenger 'not a killer'

Arsene Wenger insists he will not 'kill a young player' by signing big names.

Having seen Alexander Hleb, Mathieu Flamini and Gilberto Silva leave the Emirates already this summer, Wenger has spent £17million on 21-year-old Marseille winger Samir Nasri and Cardiff midfielder Aaron Ramsey, 17.

The Arsenal boss will continue to put his faith in the club' s youth set-up, saying: 'Every time we have done such a great job with the young players that you are concerned."Do we kill a young player or not by bringing another player in?" It's a very sensitive subject which is not specially linked with money.'
