Arshavin's agent: Russian star would be interested in move to Spurs

Andrei Arshavin's agent has insisted the Russian would be interested in leaving Zenit St Petersburg for Tottenham.

Arshavin, who was magnificent for the Russians at Euro 2008, has been strongly linked with a move to Barcelona.

An offer from the Spanish giants was £12million short of Zenit's reported asking fee of £24 million however, and the way could be clear for Spurs to make their move.

Tottenham have yet to confirm or deny Zenit's recent claim that Spurs made an enquiry over the star.

And the player's agent Dennis Lachter told Sky Sports News that Arshavin would be keen on a move to north London.

He also revealed that the forward will demand wages of  around £100,000 a week.

Lachter told the Daily Mirror: 'The price is very high, as are the personal terms.

'Let us see what happens in the future. It may need English clubs to sell some players first.'
