Richards earns new City deal
Last updated at 22:52pm on 09.10.07Micah Richards intends to sign a five-year deal at Manchester City this month.
The England defender is still only 19 but City have been forced to increase his pay from £10,000 to about £40,000 a week — on a par with the club's top earners — to keep rivals at bay.

Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal all covet the teenager but manager Sven Goran Eriksson insisted on Richards being handed a pay rise when he took charge of City in the summer.
