Manchester City's UEFA Cup opponents EB Streymur have sent out a cheeky message ahead of the Blues' visit to the Faroe Islands in a fortnight - we are out to get you.

Although the most difficult part of the two-legged tie for the Blues should be making the journey to the windswept islands, EB director Roland Hojsted could not resist an optimistic sideswipe at City.

'What can they expect? They can expect to lose,' he laughed.

On a more serious note, Hojsted admitted it was a dream draw for the Islanders, relative upstarts in Faroese football, only gaining promotion to the top flight in 2000.

'Manchester City were our number one choice, there is no doubt about that,' he said.

'We were all excited about the draw beforehand and that has only increased now we know Manchester City will be our opponents.'

Hojsted said his club were already bracing themselves for an influx of City fans.

Having hosted Scotland, France and Italy in the Euro 2008 qualifying campaign, the Faroes are unlikely to be star-struck by the prospect of Mark Hughes arriving for his first competitive game as City chief.

Hojsted confirmed the game would be held in either Toftir or Torshavn, ensuring a 6,000-capacity stadium for the encounter.

'It will be a fantastic occasion and I can guarantee the City fans a superb time in the Faroes,' he said.
