Paul Ince is weighing up a move for Bristol City right-back Bradley Orr. The Liverpool-born defender, 25, fractured his cheekbone in the Play Off Final defeat to Hull but could yet get his dream move to the Premier League if City accept around £350,000. Orr has previously had spells at Newcastle and Burnley.

Fulham have tabled an improved offer for Rosenborg defender Fredrik Stoor after having an initial approach for the Sweden international knocked back.

Bradley Orr: Paul Ince is considering a bid

The 24-year-old impressed Roy Hodgson and Stoor's agent Per Jonsson said: ‘Fulham's first offer was rejected, but they are interested enough to have made a new and improved offer for Fredrik. There is a lot of interest in him, with two French clubs also. But it is only Fulham who have made a serious offer.’

Fulham have signed Toni Kallio on a permanent two year deal. The Finnish international had been on loan from Swiss side BSC Young Boys.

Hull are giving a trial to South Africa international Delron Buckley, 30, from Borussia Dortmund. Buckley, who had a trial spell with Everton a year ago, has one year left on his contract but hopes to seal a £400,000 move by next week.

The 29-year-old former PSV Eindhoven is a free agent after leaving Vitesse Arnhem and has spoken to both Coyle and David Jones's FA Cup runners-up.

Nottingham Forest boss Colin Calderwood will splash out £1m on Carlisle United striker Joe Garner — even though he won't be fit for the start of the season. Garner is recovering from a cruciate ligament injury but Forest want to come to an agreement with the Cumbrians shortly.

Ipswich are talking to German club Nuremberg about a £2.5m deal for Greek striker Angelos Charisteas. The 28-year-old is in the history books after he headed the only goal of the Euro 2004 final against Portugal.

Coventry have had a £1m bid for Sheffield Wednesday centre back  Richard Wood rejected with Owls boss Brian Laws aiming to build around the 22-year-old  defender who has just been named skipper for the new  season.

Wigan and West Brom are interested in Venezuela striker Daniel Arismendi, 26, who has scored nine goals in 20 appearances for his country and spent last season at Mexican club Atlante.
