Few can deny MARAAHEL (Sandown, 3.20) is deserving of Group One glory and the absence of a superstar in today's Coral-Eclipse Stakes line-up provides a topflight opportunity for Sir Michael Stoute's grand campaigner.

Twice narrowly denied in the Juddmonte International at York, the Hamden Al Maktoumowned seven-year-old, has proved himself as good as ever this year despite not adding to his eight career wins - seven of which have come in Group Two/Three company.

Maraahel

Big chance: Maraahel

The return to his optimum trip can see him reverse Royal Ascot form with Multidimensional and enhance his trainer's excellent record in the race.

HOH MIKE (Sandown, nap, 2.10) can get the day off to the best possible start by registering back-to-back wins in the fivefurlong sprint.

Michael Bell's speedster ran a blinder in the King's Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot, finishing strongly from off the pace and the combination of a drop in class and this stiffer track can see him back in the winner's enclosure.

Today's lay vote goes to Blusher (Beverley, 2.20).

ROBIN GOODFELLOW'S DOUBLE: Hoh Mike (Sandown, nap, 2.10) and Melodramatic (Sandown, 3.55)

GIMCRACK'S DOUBLE: Main Aim (Sandown, nap, 5.05) and Loveinanelevator (Leicester, 5.30)

CAPTAIN HEATH'S NAP: Melodramatic (Sandown, 3.55)

FORMCAST SPECIAL BET: Duke of Touraine (Beverley, 4.05)

THE WIZARD: Top Man Dan (Carlisle, 9.05)

WORK WHISPER: Red Icon (Leicester, 4.20)

BURNT FINGERS: Irish Mayhem (Sandown, 5.35)
