Talk of the Toon: Anton Ferdinand
Kevin Keegan is willing to offer Damien Duff in a bid to land Anton Ferdinand from West Ham.
And the Newcastle boss may also be preparing to lose Nigeria striker Obafemi Martins after he appeared to open the door to a move to Arsenal last night.
Keegan is desperate to sign Ferdinand after selling Czech Republic international David Rozehnal, and has a ready-made replacement for Duff in new Argentine signing Jonas Gutierrez.
Meanwhile Martins, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal throughout the summer, refused to close the door on a move to the Emirates.
He said: 'It is a good thing people are talking about Arsenal because everyone wants to play for Arsenal - they are a big club in the Champions League.'

With a single dessert and just two glasses of wine our bill was kept in check - but the effort of doing so was not much fun
