After dominating the terrestrial world of darts, Phil 'The Power' Taylor has revealed his desire to travel back in time and take on none other than Jesus Christ at the oche.

Taylor, who previously listed his toughest opponent as Dennis 'The Menace' Priestley, remarked: 'I’d love to meet Jesus. I’d go back to those days. I’d be in awe.'

When asked if he would cross arrows with Jesus, Taylor chirped: 'Yeah, if possible.'

However, the all-conquering, 13-time world champion played down his chances of victory, saying his money was on the man who turned water into wine.

Dart-obsessed Taylor also told talkSPORT magazine that he plays the game during his sleep.

'The time I dream about darts is when I’m having a ten minute power nap on the settee,' he said.

'But my arm goes. I might be in my sleep and I play the shot and it wakes me up,' the 48-year-old said.
