would rather see Dimitar Berbatov go to Europe than so much so they are prepared to lose £5million on the move.

Manchester United have been told the Bulgarian striker will cost them £30m, but Spurs are willing to accept just £25m from either Barcelona or AC Milan.

Waiting to move: Dimitar Berbatov

A bitter feud has broken out between Spurs and United over the move and as The Sun has reported, such a move by Spurs is likely to infuriate United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.

Spurs have accused United of unsettling their striker and would prefer to see Berbatov head overseas with Barca and Milan known to be admirers of the Bulgarian.

NO! Take the biggest bid. Come on spurs! It's not worth weakening ourselves by 5 million in an attempt to stop Man Utd growing stronger. They will grow stronger anyway, and we just have to accept that. Focus on making spurs a super force!

£5m can make the difference between bringing in a muppet or a hero!

Yep, as a Spurs fan it would make sense to sell Berba to Barca or Milan.

I think Sir Alex has behaved in a way which undermines his status and club
and should be careful as it looks arrogant and patronising to Spurs.
Man U cannot expect a shaking of hands from spurs as its our player and decision. THFC place are not a clearing house for Man U who have insulted
the integrity of Levy Ramos and otherswho seek a higher level for Tottenham Hot-Spurs.

Spot on - and why should we sell our best players to or rivals? Let them go abroad if they want champions league footy, let then do it else where. I would like to see Berba play for Barcelona - 25m grab it - maybe Keane could go back to Italy ! ;)
