Aussie's still fear England

Australia are refusing to read too much into England's dismal Four Nations opener, with coach Tim Sheens warning the Kangaroos to expect a side desperate to avoid an early exit from the tournament.

England's disappointing 24-10 loss to New Zealand on Saturday has left them needing to upset Australia in Melbourne next Sunday to remain in contention.

But Great Britain have beaten the Kangaroos just three times in Australia in 30 years.

"The difference is we want to win while they've got to win," Sheens said after his side eased to a 42-0 win over Papua New Guinea yesterday.

An Aussie victory over England will assure the Kangaroos a spot in the final and render their last-round match against New Zealand a dead rubber.
