Barcelona on alert as Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas cuts ties with his pro-Real agent

The midfielder was furious with Diaz, who has close links to Real Madrid, for speaking to the Spanish champions over a possible move last summer, and only an intervention from Fabregas's family ended the Real's interest.
The Spanish midfielder, rated at about £20million, has been a long-term target for both Real and Barcelona but has repeatedly stressed his commitment to the Gunners.

The former Barcelona trainee has also previously been linked with a return to the Nou Camp and the Catalan giants have been impressed by Fabregas's coming of age this season in an Arsenal side challenging for both the Barclays Premier League title and the Champions League.
Spanish newspaper El Mundo Deportivo says Barcelona are now monitoring the developments closely having been encouraged with Diaz off the scene due to the fact Barca sports chief Txiki Begiristain doesn't get along with Diaz.
Cesc would only tell Spanish reporters yesterday: "I will not speak about this issue."

Meanwhile Alex Song completed his first 90 minutes since recovering from a knee injury in the reserves' 1-1 draw with Chelsea on Tuesday night.
The Cameroon defender also opened the scoring at Underhill and could even appear on the bench against Bolton on Saturday.
