Barcelona's Deco hoping to put himself in the shop window during Euro 2008

Deco is hoping to prove his class in these Finals after a disappointing farewell season with Barcelona.

After scoring only one goal in 28 games, the Portuguese playmaker's last Nou Camp memory is of being booed by Barca fans after the final match of the La Liga season.

Now he hopes to rebuild his reputation before moving to England or Italy.

"It was my worst season," he said. "I played less because of the injuries, which were not serious but robbed me of about two months.

"I wouldn't stay at Barcelona now because I always said that I want to be where I'm wanted," added Deco, whose contract with the Catalan giants was due to end in 2010.
