Barry to face wrath of Villa supporters in Walsall friendly

Gareth Barry has been included in Martin O'Neill's Aston Villa squad for tonight's friendly at Walsall.
The wantaway Villa skipper was withdrawn from last weekend's trip to Odense with a bruised foot, but his manager has named him ahead of the trip to the Banks's Stadium.
Even though the England international was missing in Scandinavia, that absence did not make the hearts grow fonder as far as Villa's 500 travelling punters were concerned.

Bars surrounding the Fionia Park Stadium rang out to various unsavoury anti-Barry chants as Villa fans made their feelings known on his proposed switch to Liverpool.
Manager O'Neill has indicated that he would be willing to accept the midfielder, 27, back into the fold but a source close to the Irishman said that the player had 'serious grovelling' to do.
That pennance is likely to begin in the Black Country at a ground that will be half-filled by Villa punters.
The 11,000-capacity stadium always attracts a healthy number of supporters from an area that is a claret-and-blue stronghold.
And it is likely that Barry, after admitting his desire to quit the club for Anfield as he goes in search of Champions League football, will discover the hard way just how upset his supporters were by his public show of dissention against the club.
