Beckham: I want to rule the World in 2010

David Beckham believes he can play for his country in the 2010 World Cup.

England's former skipper, who is set to make a return for Los Angeles Galaxy in the next fortnight after knee and ankle injuries, will be 35 by the time of the next tournament in three years, but he said: "The World Cup in South Africa is a huge challenge. I wouldn't say it if I didn't believe I could do it. It might be me being stubborn but I believe I can play in that World Cup.

Belief: Beckham

"Whether I'm given a chance to or not, who knows? But I've got the belief."
