Beckham: I'll miss nights like that but I'll move on
07 May 2007
Played in front of a full house which created one of the best atmospheres at the Bernabeu this season, Madrid came out on top in a thriller that produced five goals, three red cards and plenty of incident.

Golden night: David Beckham in action during Real's 3-2 victory over title rivals Sevilla at the Bernabeu
For Beckham, who was only involved after the Spanish FA overturned the yellow card he received against Athletic Bilbao last weekend, the match encapsulated what playing for Real Madrid is all about.
"You are always going to miss nights like this because they are special, the way the atmosphere is, the way the people are, the way the team played," said Beckham, who will end a four-year spell in Madrid this summer when he takes up a contract with Major League Soccer side Los Angeles Galaxy in America.
"You are always going to miss something like that, but everybody moves on."
One sour note for Beckham against Sevilla was the second-half booking he received which means he is set to be suspended for next weekend's home match against Espanyol.
With only five games remaining this season - three at home, two away - Beckham will not have many more nights like yesterday's for the Spanish giants, but the former England captain is determined to make the most of it while he can.
"I'm going to cherish these next five games, a few at home and then a few away."
Madrid's win over Sevilla was their sixth victory in their last seven league outings and saw them climb above the Andalusian side into second place.
It also keeps them hot on the heels of pacesetters Barcelona, who are just two points ahead.
With the Catalan side beating lowly Real Sociedad on Sunday, Madrid knew anything other than three points against Sevilla could have done irreparable damage to their title hopes.
But Fabio Capello's men bounced back from a half-time deficit against this year's UEFA Cup finalists to claim the spoils thanks to second-half goals from Ruud van Nistelrooy (two) and Robinho.
Now Beckham believes it could be a crucial victory in their quest for the title.
"(This) win was a big step towards that," said Beckham, who has yet to win a major trophy since joining Madrid in 2003.
"We needed to win this game and every game is crucial for us now, not just because it was against Sevilla because we have to win every game."
Beckham, 32, also hailed the spirit in the Madrid camp, saying: "We are together as a team and I think that what's good about the way we are performing at the moment. Even when we are losing we are coming back and winning games.
"Things have definitely changed in the changing room, and on the pitch, because we are more together as a team.
"There are no individuals. It is good, we've still got a great team. We've obviously let great players go as well, but we are performing at the moment and that is the way it should be."
