Beckham proud of England return

The Real Madrid star was recalled after an 11 month absence and responded with an excellent performance before leaving the pitch to a standing ovation when substituted after 76 minutes.
It was Beckham's free-kick which led to Terry heading England in front after 68 minutes only for substitute Diego to grab an equaliser deep into injury-time.
Beckham said: "I think everyone of us enjoyed it. It was such an historic night for all of England and it was great to be out there.
"It is always nice to have the support of the fans and I have had that throughout my career. It was amazing out there for me.
"Things are in the past now and I am happy to have been part of this historic occasion.
"It was good to be back in the England squad and it was nice to be with the team and just be part of the set-up again."
Beckham revealed that the call of nature had led to him being at the back of the team which walked out onto the pitch - a contrast to the many times he has led England out as skipper.
He said: "I didn't deliberately go to the back of the line-up when we walked out. I was in the toilet so that was the reason I was at the back!
"It was nothing on purpose. When I have been in the squad for the last 10 years I have been captain for six of them so I have to do press conferences and different things. It has been good this week just to be part of things and I have enjoyed it."
Beckham insists he has never taken a place in the England side for granted after his first appearance since the World Cup quarter-final against Portugal last June.
He said: "I have always felt I have had to play for my place in any team - regardless of who you are.
"You have got to play for your place and I have always done that in every team I have played for."
