Bianchi exit looms

Rolando Bianchi is pressing for a return to Italy in January after his £8.8million move from Reggina to Manchester City.

The unhappy Italian has already had talks with manager Sven Goran Eriksson and said: "I'm not used to being left out of the side.

Off to a flier: Bianchi scores on the opening day of the season but he has largely been restricted to appearances off the bench

"I have set a reasonable deadline of December for things to change and then we will have to consider options as I don't like playing five or 10 minutes of games," he said.

Torino are monitoring the situation and other Italian clubs — including Napoli who lost out to City this summer — well remember his 18 goals in Serie A last season for a struggling team.

Eriksson is looking to sign another striker in the transfer window and is keen to inject pace into his front line.
