Birmingham boss McLeish targets Boyd and Murphy

Birmingham manager Alex McLeish has again been credited with an interest in SPL stars Kris Boyd and David Murphy.

The Rangers striker was his best pound-for-pound buy during his Ibrox tenure at £400,000 from Kilmarnock and Boyd's immediate future in Govan could hinge on what happens with the unsettled Daniel Cousin.

McLeish is desperate to sign a left-back and Hibernian defender Murphy is on the Birmingham radar, as well as one-time Celtic target Michal Kadlec of Sparta Prague.
