Bluebirds to bid for Rangers striker Cousin after shelving Boyd bid

Cardiff City are ready to launch a £2.5million bid for Rangers striker Daniel Cousin.


The Championship outfit have changed tack after shelving their earlier bid for Ibrox  striker Kris Boyd.

Cousin, 31, missed out on a move to Fulham in January because of a FIFA ruling, but ambitious Cardiff now want him to join their Championship promotion bid.

Rangers need to offload the Gabon international after signing Kenny Miller, Kyle Lafferty and Andrius Velicka, and would happily doublethe fee they paid French club Lens 12 months ago.
